چکیده
C–H olefination of alkynes has been realized as an efficient approach to access axially chiral trisubstituted olefins, where two classes arenes have identified.

Rhodium-catalyzed olefination of aryl tetrazoles via direct C-H bond activation.
Rh(III)-catalyzed direct olefination reaction via aromatic C-H bond activation is described using tetrazole as the directing group. This reaction provides a straightforward way for the synthesis of ortho-alkenyl aryl tetrazoles. Various functional groups tolerate the reaction conditions and afford the corresponding products in moderate to excellent yields.
متن کاملFe-Catalyzed C–C Bond Construction from Olefins via Radicals
This Article details the development of the iron-catalyzed conversion of olefins to radicals and their subsequent use in the construction of C-C bonds. Optimization of a reductive diene cyclization led to the development of an intermolecular cross-coupling of electronically-differentiated donor and acceptor olefins. Although the substitution on the donor olefins was initially limited to alkyl a...
متن کاملNickel-catalyzed borylation of arenes and indoles via C-H bond cleavage.
The first nickel-catalyzed method for the borylation of carbon-hydrogen bonds in arenes and indoles is described. The use of an N-heterocyclic carbene ligand is essential for an efficient reaction, with an N-cyclohexyl-substituted derivative being optimal. This method is readily applied to the gram scale synthesis of 2-borylindole.
متن کاملIsomerization of Olefins Triggered by Rhodium-Catalyzed C–H Bond Activation: Control of Endocyclic β-Hydrogen Elimination**
Five-membered metallacycles are typically reluctant to undergo endocyclic β-hydrogen elimination. The rhodium-catalyzed isomerization of 4-pentenals into 3-pentenals occurs through this elementary step and cleavage of two C-H bonds, as supported by deuterium-labeling studies. The reaction proceeds without decarbonylation, leads to trans olefins exclusively, and tolerates other olefins normally ...
متن کاملRhodium-catalyzed intermolecular C-H silylation of arenes with high steric regiocontrol.
Regioselective C-H functionalization of arenes has widespread applications in synthetic chemistry. The regioselectivity of these reactions is often controlled by directing groups or steric hindrance ortho to a potential reaction site. Here, we report a catalytic intermolecular C-H silylation of unactivated arenes that manifests very high regioselectivity through steric effects of substituents m...
